![]() ![]() Looking at the Apple ProRes White Paper document, it looks like this movie is above the 176 Mb/s to be expected for 1080p 24fps in ProRes 422 HQ. I thought the only way to control bit rate with Apple ProRes codecs was to select a different flavor (from Apple ProRes 4444 XQ to Apple ProRes 422 Proxy) For file compression I have used Adobe Media Encoder, Resolve, Compressor, and I do not recall seeing any parameter for bit rate control other than variable or constant bit rate. I never had to deal with this particular issue in QC before, but I am surprised they even require a particular bitrate for an Apple ProRes 422 HQ, when I believe we do not have any control over the bitrate of that particular codec. Download and Unzip desired preset packages. If you are in fact using an older CS6 version of Adobe Media Encoder then: 1. The file failed Baton's QC and the main reason is that the average bit rate is 197.98 Mbp/s for this movie when the QC plan requires a constant bit rate of 220 Mbp/s! The files you have downloaded are only relevant to CS6. My client had it run thru Baton's QC plan for Prime Video Direct. ![]() I recently mastered a movie to 1080p23.976 ProRes 422 HQ. ![]()
